OAS1S are cutting edge treehouses designed like ecosystems. Bringing urban design and nature together as one, Dutch founder, Raimond de Hullu has designed the concept to be 100% green going above and beyond the current sustainable building status quo.
“The customisable models have 2/3/4 floors with large windows, and rustic cabin-like interiors of recycled wood.”
“Green communities which upgrade concrete jungles, or eco-resorts which harmonise within nature like chameleons.”
The ‘treetowers’ are 100% self-sufficient and off-grid.
So often green design only focuses on sustainable products, energy and waste. Taking green design to the next level takes into account the visual amenity with the vertical garden facade and community values by bringing a group of like minded people living in a peaceful organic car free community layout.
We have increasingly become disconnected from nature in our everyday lives, but recently there has been a realisation of how important nature is for our inner psyche. We need to re-imagine and redesign where we live and how we interact with each other in our local communities. If we continue to live and work in concrete jungles with no community engagement and no natural green environments, anxiety, stress and depression levels will continue to sky rocket. OAS1S is an exciting step in the right direction.
